El Taco is inspired by bold Tex-Mex flavors and by the sunny street markets of Mexico. The menu (created by Executive Chef Shaun Doty) is simple cuisine with interesting garnishes and fresh ingredients. Some items are snacks designed to be enjoyed with a cocktail, others are generously portioned and perfect for sharing and some are down-right decedent and require several margaritas or beers to chase down. Vegetarians will enjoy our handmade masa flatbread Mexican pizzas—a regional specialty of Oaxaca, parents will appreciate our thoughtful kid’s menu and everyone will enjoy our salsa bar that brings an intriguing air of authenticity to the El Taco dining experience. We’re doin’ our part for Mother Earth, too, by committing to renewability, recycling and the use of eco-friendly products where we can throughout the joint. In fact, we've partnered with Renewable Choice Energy to purchase renewable energy credits (REC) to offset 100% of the electricity we use at El Taco. RECs are produced by wind farms, biomass facilities and other renewable energy projects that allow companies and consumers to offset their electricity use with clean and renewable energy. By purchasing renewable energy credits, we are guaranteed that part of the electricity we consume is replaced on the national power grid with clean power. Pretty cool, eh?
